Re: pdflib: BBCSDL hard copy output

No, russian is not included yet. This library is currently hardcoded to WinAnsiEncoding. From wikipedia: Windows Code Page 1252, often called the “Windows ANSI” encoding. This is the standard Windows encoding for Latin text in Western writing systems. These encodings were designed for representation...

Re: BBC BASIC for Windows v6.13 release candidate

When were you first aware of a problem with WIDTH()?
You may recall the treeview routine a year ago, i had written an FNstringwidth() function instead of using WIDTH().
Now you know why.
I thought about reporting it, but decided to wait and see a little bit, then i forgot about it, sorry.

Re: BBC BASIC for Windows v6.13 release candidate

The WIDTH error seems to have been fixed ok, i could not get it to fail, not even a small hiccup. Writing this because the WIDTH bug really bugged me. (valid expression ?) For those who didn't know. In 6.12a, the listed test code gives the following errors: 1. Full or partial printout upon start. Fr...

Re: Self aware computers project - written in BBC Basic, help needed!

Pete Here's the rest of the code, if you still want it. It's the same demo, keep whatever you did with the REPEAT UNTIL loop and replace the rest. If it doesn't work, just ask, people are helpful with 'code specific' questions. I have a question for you, there's something that's puzzling me. Say you...

Re: Self aware computers project - written in BBC Basic, help needed!

Pete Good, you got it working. Sadly for you, the rest of the code is located on another computer, and it'll take a few days before can get to it again. And i don't have BB4W elsewhere, so i can't rewrite it. In the mean time may i suggest that you try to improve your sound algorithm, it's not very ...

Re: Self aware computers project - written in BBC Basic, help needed!

Pete If you by any chance don't know, the manual is full of example code to copy/paste and run. The supplied code is basically copied from the manual: "Accessing the Windows API / Adding popup and sub-menus". I removed a few unwanted menu lines and renamed the rest, then i changed the window size an...

BOX2DGFX library updated

Posting this on behalf of Richard. I have today updated the BOX2DGFX library (seven years since it was originally written, almost to the day!). The changes are as follows: 1. Added a new PROC_gfxExit procedure, which should be called on exit (probably before PROC_b2Exit). Previously, BOX2DGFX suffer...

Re: BBC BASIC for SDL 2.0 version 1.08a released

Ok, new attempt. From Linux thru Remmina to Windows 10 pc. 1. Download bbcsdl, extract to downloads, shortcut to desktop, click on shortcut, select sdlide and checkbox, failing as before. 2. Add bbcsdl.bbc to shortcut, better but still failing. 3. Extract to ProgramFiles(x86)/bbcsdl, new shortcut to des...
