Volatile Vases for BBCSDL ready to test

After intense coding, all the goodies are now added Try this program on different platforms. I will test it on my raspberry pi 3 also I have tested it on BBCSDL for windows version 1.07a for a good 5 minutes (it actually ran pretty smooth) (NOTE: the boxes need to be dragged by the 2 mouse buttons) ...

Re: New BBCSDL games website/web page?

Mike, I see you deleted your thread about the BBCSDL version of 'Volatile Vases' - why was that? Have you withdrawn it? Volatile Vases is getting a face lift. I have decided to spend 100% of my free time programming instead of 0.01% .(which has been the case for many years) I have already vastly im...

DDRM, I would like to see more of your work. I like the fact that there are REM statements in your program to help someone
who may be new to the code can pick up the technique and eventually advance others in turn.. :D
Great work David Marples !

Re: New BBCSDL games website/web page?

David, I have been studying your game called Triples. I noticed I can drag the pieces on the board like they are held in sprites. I am learning how you performed the music and sounds and movement of images. I will study your techniques and see if I can duplicate them. The code in the games you creat...

Re: Code a game comp - The Great Christmas Adventure - Nov 4th to Dec 23rd

software which I had been meaning to learn for years (since 2011, I think) Thats around the same time I first looked at BBC Basic, but at the time, didnt realize it was the platform I was looking for. So I wasted years on other basic platforms until I met Richard and he introduced me to LBB then I ...

Re: Awesome idea (pull out note reference)

if you think the modification might be of more general interest I'm happy to consider it for the distributed version.

Ill attempt to make the side window beside the BBCSDL editor after I'm done my game. I really think this side reference note area would be very handy.

Awesome idea (pull out note reference)

As I was working on my game I was keeping note of all my global variables and any new ones I needed to make. I then copied my variables into the LBB editor for quick reference. I know the above note may be the solution to the task, I came up with the idea of a slide out text window that would allow ...

Re: BBC BASIC for SDL 2.0 v0.27a released

Thanks Richard. I shared a link to this post to my Facebook programming tools group. There are currently 56 members and its growing. Your efforts are appreciated, especially considering there isn't many basic language developers that have made such public efforts at the level you have and with the b...

Re: Leaving the forum (again)?

What I do know is that my stress levels are 'through the roof', I am hardly sleeping at all and I feel absolutely terrible. I don't say that to attract sympathy, merely a statement of fact. I have problems with sleep too. Sleep apnea so bad I have to use a machine to keep breathing. 30 seconds out ...

Re: Leaving the forum (again)?

It's pretty clear to me what decision I must make, but I'll wait until I've seen the reaction (if any) here before making it final - I was criticised last time for leaving without any explanation. Richard, there has been no conflict, at least none that can't be solved with a calming word or two. I ...
