I used up the last 'ad-free credit' today. If you would like this forum to remain free of annoying - and occasionally dangerous - advertisements please consider donating (at the bottom of the page).

It never bothered me about ads.. I might look at them with my side vision once in a while, but aside from that I am extremely picky and cautious, so I rarely interact with an ad.

I am experimenting with one drive style forum creation. I know it can be done, as I have seen examples of live updating of a program in BBCBasic. Having a link to a program in Onedrive also gives you access to the modified version of the same program. Although I need to work around the link taking the user to the One Drive site.

Also, it wouldn't necessarily be for a program, but rather an info file that would be updated. A program would of course interact with the file and update the most recent info.

A side note: even the Raspberry Pi 3 will download from such a link.

I like reinventing the wheel, but for now I will work on tools for D3D

You may not be bothered, but many people are. Conforums has been known to serve ads containing ransomware (presumably by mistake, but still worrying).

$7 buys one month's freedom from ads, which seems quite a good deal. Note that it is against the Conforums Terms & Conditions to use an ad-blocker on this site.
