BBC BASIC for SDL 2.0 updated to v0.12a
Post by Richard Russell on Feb 19th, 2016, 10:33am

I have updated BBC BASIC for SDL 2.0 to version 0.12a. It may be downloaded as follows:
To install the Android (x86) edition carry out the following steps:
  1. Allow apps to be installed from unknown sources. This setting will probably be in Settings... Security... Unknown sources. You can turn it off again as soon as you have installed BBC BASIC

  2. Download the BBCBasic.apk file onto your device via a USB lead or, for example, using Dropbox.

  3. If you haven't already got one, download a free File Manager app.

  4. Using Dropbox or the File Manager install BBC BASIC.
This version of BBC BASIC comes with a simple launcher utility which will allow you to run any of the supplied example programs. I expect this to be enhanced in future releases.

If you haven't already acquired a suitable mobile device (Intel phone or tablet) on which to run this app please consider doing so. This is the best way you can support ongoing development of BBC BASIC.

Richard.
