Cross-platform BBC BASIC (Windows, Linux x86, Mac OS-X, Android, iOS, Raspberry Pi)

I have been doing some experimentation and I'm pleased to confirm that SOCKLIB will be supported, on all platforms, in the next release of BBCSDL (due in approximately one month's time). Compatibility with the BB4W library should be quite good, sufficient to allow programs to be ported with few if any changes.
As with all new features, I would like to include at least one example program as a showcase. Being able to access the internet, even from a mobile device such as a phone or tablet, opens up all sorts of possibilities. So can I ask for suggestions (and preferably working code so I don't have to write it myself!) for such a demonstration program? It would need to be something that could run on any platform (so operable using a touchscreen as well as a keyboard - and preferably needing neither, to be compatible with the Amazon Fire TV) and as spectacular as possible!
Whatever skills I may have, writing attractive, interesting and impressive demo programs is not one of them! This is your opportunity to contribute so put your thinking caps on.
